Hello! I don’t have a name!

I came into care after a kind and concerned citizen rescued me from a very neglectful situation. I was being given away for free by a breeder in Edmonton who did not want to take me to the vet, even though I clearly needed medical attention.

I arrived at the rescue with two other friends — another Bourke’s Parakeet and a Turquoisine — who were also in need of help. When I came in, I had a severe untreated eye infection, mites, and I am missing one of my feet.

The good news is that I am now safe and receiving the care I need. I am currently being treated for my eye infection, and the team here is making sure I get the medical attention and support I deserve.

Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m on the path to feeling better every day.
