Born into the role of bird keeper, Kye grew up with a little green cheek conure named Marvin and a Congo African Grey named Meika.  

He now has a little conure of his own named Cali.  

He splits his time with us here at Meika’s and WildNorth as an intern at the Rehabilitation Centre.

 I'm someone who cares deeply about animals, with a special fondness for birds. I have a cockatiel named Dorian and Elenore who means a lot to me. I enjoy sharing what I've learned about proper animal care and doing what I can to provide homes for birds in need. My goal is simply to make a positive difference in the lives of animals and the people who care for them.

 Growing up on an acreage and having my own feathered friends from a young age, birds have always been a big interest of mine!  

I love getting to be part of the bigger picture in rescuing/caring for/rehoming domesticated birds, while also getting to help care for the wild birds! Honestly, I'll always be stoked when I get to hear about which birds you've seen in your yard; if you let me in on your birdwatching I'll let you in on mine
