Hello! Iβm Moby
Moby is a sensitive, smart, passionate and fairly confident guy who knows what he wants. He forms strong attachments to things he loves (his chosen person, bird or toy). He prefers women and is a bit skeptical of men, however, trust can be earned with treats and positive interactions. He likes to spend some time with his people doing things, but he also enjoys spending time in his enclosure away from the action, playing and napping. He will get grumpy if he's out for too long or overstimulated. He is generally a good traveller and is used to frequent short trips and hanging outside in his carrier. He is not to be trusted outside, even with clipped wing as he does fly away (Moby was found outside and never claimed a few years ago so he does have a history of flying off). He prefers a backpack style carrier and feels more secure when it's partially covered. He will alarm call if he's not comfortable. He is comfortable cruising around on the floor and he's quiet and subtle about it - watch out for him, he's often close underfoot. He likes most vegetables and enjoys a good skewer of raw veggies. Snap Peas in the pod, peppers (sweet or spicy), carrot and sweet potato are some of his favorites. He is a great forager and will forage for treats, veggies and pellets. He prefers to bathe in a shallow dish under gently dribbling water, or in his water dish. For the right high-value treat (pine nut), he may tolerate being misted, but he doesn't really enjoy it. His favorite toys are anything made of palm leaf, cardboard, sola, balsa and mahogany pods. Bonus if it's crunchy and noisy. He also loves shredding sola balls - They don't last long! He is very smart and learn fast if you have his attention. That said, he also thinks fast - if you're not operating at his speed and reading his intention, he easily gets frustrated and may bite as a result. Moby does not talk. He does best on a lean diet without corn or peanuts.
His tricks include:
Spin
Tap tap treat
Recall
Go Home (to his enclosure)

He is an eager learner and would likely learn more tricks from you!
