Hello! I’m Toad 🐦

I am currently in sanctuary care and am generously sponsored by Jani and Nadia.

When I first arrived, my kidney enzymes were extremely high. Since then, the team has been working hard to support me with a specialized diet aimed at improving my kidney function. I’m happy to share that over the past year, my enzyme levels have decreased by about 10%. While that’s a positive step, my levels are still quite high, which means I’m not a candidate for adoption at this time. I will continue to live here at the shelter where I can receive the ongoing care and diet I need to stay comfortable and happy.

One of the best parts of my life here is my very special friendship with a little budgie. We are inseparable! We spend our days preening each other, napping side by side, and keeping close no matter what we’re doing. My budgie friend looks out for me and makes me feel safe every single day—and I love him so much.
