Hello! I don’t have a name!
I came into care after a kind and concerned citizen rescued me from a very neglectful situation. I was being given away for free by a breeder in Edmonton who did not want to take me to the vet, even though I clearly needed medical attention.
I arrived at the rescue with two other Bourke’s Parakeets, who were also in need of help. Unfortunately, both of my legs were broken when I came in, which makes it very difficult for me to perch or move around.
I am currently receiving treatment to manage my pain, and the team here is providing me with all the medical care and support I need. Despite everything I’ve been through, I am surrounded by people who are helping me heal and giving me a safe place to recover.
